Outstanding! Above and beyond, we didn't know what we wanted and they were so helpful, gave great recommendations and we were able to easily create the backyard we wanted. They also have an expert on plants who we followed up with after planting and gave us fantastic recommendations. We literally getting compliments on my yard and will go back to them for anything we need.

Owner walked me around and helped me pick out the right tree for my yard. It was delivered that morning, no damage or issues...lots of advise for planting and autumn/spring care. Very happy with my experience at Blue Grass, I'll be back next spring 🙂

I have a construction company in Edmonton and west of Edmonton.. I waited a few years to see how their products weathered. I felt with staff and the owner. They were all on the same page. They were knowledgeable and easy to deal with. Over the years I bought all kinds of trees and shrubs. I designed a really exotic them on my property west of Edmonton. I showed them some pictures but it's really coming along. It's jaw dropping thanks to blue grass nursery. They really deserve a 5 star rating and I got the results to prove it. Thank you so much for you expert help over the years.

The outdoor staff here were exceptional, spending nearly two hours in the summer heat assisting us and several other customers without pause. When we mentioned we needed a moment to make a phone call, they took the opportunity for a brief drink of water and to sit down. Moments later, a woman approached — dressed like another shopper — who we later learned was part of management. Despite not having been outside during that time, she told them curtly to “find something to do” or “go home,” saying that sitting looked bad. Witnessing such a dismissive comment toward hardworking staff, especially in front of customers, left a lasting negative impression despite the excellent service we’d received I'm not sure I would want to support a business that speaks down to their employees in this way. It felt very unprofessional and I can only hope that this management staff member reflects on her behavior.

Last year, my husband Brion & I needed to replace a tree in our back yard. We were interested in Spring Snow Crab as we have had one in the front of the house for years and love it. We checked around with many nurseries and found just what we were looking for at BLUE GRASS NURSERY here in Edmonton. At the same time, we purchased a few perennials, sod and a yard of the soil they sell in the BIG BAG. The soil was delivered to our property with a ‘forklift’, at the time we asked for and placed exactly where it was most convenient to access it. I have to say, their customer service is wonderful. It’s so nice that they are a LOCAL FAMILY BUSINESS, and they also support many charities in Alberta. This year we purchased more soil as well as a few shrubs and the best thing is a year later our tree looks just great! THANKYOU BLUEGRASS NURSERY for being there and doing such a good job!

Look at the picture attached tell me if this is fresh & quality Grass sod? I purchased all my caliper trees shrubs & some other trees from Blue Grass Nursery having an idea of buying from a local neighborhood family owned business. This location I came across good bad & ugly all kinds of people. Deciduous tree I bought last month they sold me without tree identification tag, their staff gave me a very hard time not to give a tree description ribbon since that incident I have being to this location few times every time I visited this place I noticed they were very sarcastic, rude & often making mockery out of me. It was my stupidity as I continued to buy most of my landscaping needs from this place even after I experiencing discrimination & showing me sort of a grudge. This Saturday yesterday 10th August 2024 I went to Blue grass nursery to buy 30 rolls of sod (I had to bring 3 smaller batches in my car) after I took the first ten rolls home I realized grass were not healthy 50% of them were dead or dried (see the actual sod picture attached) immediately I phoned Bluegrass, girl who answered the phone transferred me to Jeff (who likes to pretend he's the owner of the Bluegrass Nursery) when I told him the grass is not fresh but very dried and half dead upon hearing my complaint Jeff started yelling at me Jeff told me I'm the only one complaining their grass is bad he repeated that I bought only 300 square feet of sod where as many people buy thousands of square feet of sod. He told me to return the sod and get my money back but never step into his nursery again? I was flabbergasted & very embarrassed to hear what he said as I was on the speaker phone people around me at my end clearly heard our conversation. Jeff and his customer service team is very ignorant, sarcastic & disrespectful. Dear customers chose your nursery carefully specially when you're buying grass sod (Bluegrass Nursery made their own grass sod in Red Deer as per their staff) donot hesitate to buy reputable Kentucky Blue Grass directly from Mandalay sod farm Spruce Grove or from their distributors.

Steve, who works there, is a wonderful and successful person. He is warm, friendly, and very helpful. They have regular, affordable, high-quality materials.

We've been here a few times awesome nursery very friendly staff. We got a couple really nice trees shrubs and some sod would recommend for anyone in the area
